What are the Symptoms and Causes for Foot Pain?

Posted on June 30, 2007 in Foot Problems

Foot pain can be very discomforting and regions where it usually occurs are in the heel, toes, arch, instep, sole or ankles. Foot pain can be the result of many things, including wearing ill-fitting shoes, high heels for an excessively long period of time, due to a sports injury, or even to due to aging. As people age, their feet often grow wider and those that gain excess weight are at an additional risk of suffering potential foot problems. All parts of the feet working right supports the body’s weight and moves it through various activities. Damage/injury to any part of a foot can affect other parts and upset the foot’s functioning, making it painful to walk or even stand.
