Feet are as important part of your body as any other part is. Our foot has about 26 bones, 33 joints, and numerous of other sinews, muscles and ligaments. It’s is a very complex structure, which cannot be working fine always. It is likely to have many things wrong.
How to know if there is any problem with the feet?
You may have foot problems due to some accident, sudden jerk or they may also be inherited. They may even occur due to continuous wear and tear for several years. The beginning of the problem can be with pain in the feet. Then, it may aggravate further to cause pain in the back, hips and legs. All foot problems are not just restricted to the foot only; they may, in fact, point out a disease of bigger magnitude.
There are many other signs and symptoms of foot trouble. It may include pain, having dry skin, thick or bad in color nails, redness, swelling, and strange sensations. The podiatrists advice people that they must not ignore these symptoms and must not hide it out and hope for it will go off, in this way.
If the toenails become rounded off inwards and not outwards, as in normal fashion, it could suggest iron deficiency in the person. If the feet tingles or becomes numb and the wounds heal off very slow, they can be the signs of diabetes and other such serious diseases. Be cautious about any change in the structural appearance of the foot, which may even suggest some signs of abnormalities such as, tendon rupture, rheumatoid or osteoarthritis, or neuropathic disease.
Some tips for self care treatments and preventions for feet:
- Always choose your shoes with care. The s hoes are the one that make a whole lot of difference for your feet. The problem is in fact that people want them to be flashy and stylized but forget about the foot comfort they ought to render. Ill fit shoes are the ones that generate a host of problems for the foot.
Your shoes must not be tight in any case. They should be loose enough to allow some air to pass by. If you will wear tight shoes for considerable time, they may have nerve growths such as, corns, calluses, neuromas, blisters, and hammertoes.
- You must always practice all sorts of foot hygiene. You may be amazed to know that our foot has about 250,000 sweat glands. In our routine we fill our socks and shoes with a mixture of sweat and bacteria that makes the feet unhygienic and bad in odor. If you take care of hygiene and always observe clean and dry feet, your chances of having any foot disease or infection, becomes very low actually.
- To make your feet healthy, wash it off on a daily basis using soap and lukewarm water. Do not use a strong soap; any good quality and mild soap is good. Take special care of the area between the toes. Dry it off completely after you are done with washing using a clean and soft towel.
