In our fast paced life, we are always on our feet…running or walking or standing. Our feet are most affected by our life style and these are the part of the body which you forget to care in your daily hustle bustle. Poor blood circulation, inappropriately trimmed toe nails, disease and improper fitting of shoes affect our feet adversely.
It is very important to take proper care of our feet. The care starts from the shoes you wear. It is simply because we spend most of our day wearing a shoe and it is thus important that we wear proper shoes that will take care of our feet.
It is very important for you to wear the right kind of shoe. The shoes that make your feet comfortable; no matter how long you keep them wearing. Your shoes must not irritate you, cause friction, fit tight or not permitting air to pass. The shoes should not have heel any high than 2 cms. They must not be made of synthetic material that fails to absorb moisture and thus become a breeding ground for bacteria.

The material of the shoe is an important factor. Leather is best as these breaths like skin and also moulds according to your feet. The sole of the shoe must be strong and flexible. It should provide protection against slipping. Although high-heel are in fashion but these should be best avoided if you have to wear shoes for too long or you have to walk, as high heel cause backaches.
To get the right fitting shoe it is a good idea to shop for your shoes in evening when your feet are largest. Don’t buy a shoe expecting it will expand. Usually one of our foot is bigger than the other, so buy according to your biggest foot. Always make sure to have your feet measured before buying a shoe. There must be enough space in toe box to wiggle your toes. Too narrow shoes are not very good for your feet. Only buy those shoes in which you feel comfortable. Walk for a while wearing the shoes to ensure that they fit and feel comfortable.
Buying right kind of shoes for kids is also important, because a child’s feet is very flexible and soft and only right kind of shoes can give right shape to the feet. Oxford or tennis shoes are best for the children. Check regularly to ensure that shoes are not very small. Your child won’t complain even if the shoes are two sizes smaller so make sure your child is wearing right kind of shoe.
As we are spending most of our days wearing shoes, we require shoe which will help to protect our feet from cold, injury and disease. In which we will feel comfortable. But for the sake of fashion we choose shoes forgetting the comfort and function aspect. One thing we must keep in mind is that for proper care of your feet you need a good foot caring shoe.
