This is a very good and easy home remedy for cracked heels and even for dry feet that get cracked easily. Massage cracked heels with one of these oils: sesame oil, coconut oil or any other hydrogenated vegetable oil before going to bed.
Take a ripe banana and mash it. Apply this to the cracks of your heel. Leave it for about 10-15 minutes and then wash it off. This instantly smooths the dry feet.
Take lukewarm water and soak your feet in it for 15 minutes. This will loosen the dead skin; now wash off with a pumice stone.
Daily apply a mixture of rosewater and glycerin. It soothes your heels and cures them fast.
Diet plays an important role in healing cracked feet. Deficiency of zinc and omega-3 fatty acids can result in dry skin. Dry skin is more vulnerable to cracking. Eat foods rich in zinc, such as crabs, brown rice, kidney beans, yogurt, and oysters; and Omega-3 essential fatty acids, such as flaxseed, eggs, tuna, and salmon.
