Foot massage is one of the techniques which give the maximum relaxation to a tired soul and an exhausted sole. There is nothing better than pampering your feet with massage when they need it the most. There are a number of techniques and benefits of doing this.
How to do it?
- Soak your feet in warm (not hot) water for ten minutes. You may add bath salts or essential oils to the water. Pat both feet dry before massage.
- Smear some moisture to ease the process of massage. Assume a comfortable massage that allows all areas of your feet to be massaged.
- Start by stroking the top of the feet. Let the direction be from the toe to the ankle. Gradually increase the pressure, especially in the balls of the feet and the heels.
- Massage using the thumb, making circular movements in all areas of the feet, including the sides.
- Hold the foot in one hand and with the other, punch the foot using the fist, with moderate pressure. Do not neglect the arch.
- Roll the toes between your thumb and other fingers. Gently squeeze the tip of each toe.
