Generally it is seen that foot care is secondary for people. They don’t care for their feet as they do it for other body parts. But feet is the most important part of your body as the whole body weight is balanced on them. If any damage is caused to your feet then it would be difficult for you to walk.
Here are 6 simple and easy foot care tips that will be caring as well as relaxing for your feet.
- With the help of an abrasive foot scrub or pumice stone regularly remove the rough and dead skin. This will be helpful in keeping calluses in control. If you will ignore calluses it may result into cracked and infected heels hence making walking difficult for you.
- Your feet needs a regular soothing foot bath as it stimulates the nerve ends of your feet. In water bath put a cup of marbles and roll your feet on them. Then with the help of your toes pick one of the marbles, flex and contract your feet. This is a kind of muscles exercise for your feet.
- At least once in a week get a relaxing foot massage. You can even ask your loved ones to do that. Try adding few drops of peppermint oil in your massaging lotion. This would relax your tired feet muscles.
- Apply a rich moisturizer on your sole every night. This would soften your sole skin. Apply cream even on your feet every night and cover them with cotton socks.
- With the age your feet size changes so whenever you are going to buy footwear get your feet measured. Remember to measure your feet while you are standing.
- It is advisable for you to change your footwear every 6 months as they lose the ability to support your feet. It may result into feet, leg and back problems.
