Feet are an important part of our personality. Very often we end up giving so much of importance to our looks that in the process neglect our feet. What we don’t realize is that uncared feet give us a very shabby look.
Here are some ways we can take care of our feet
- Be clean. Bathe your feet every day. Just letting the shower water splash on them isn’t good enough. Lather them thoroughly with soap and scrub them.
- Be sure to dry your feet completely when you’re done. Don’t forget to dry between the toes. Leftover moisture is a breeding ground for bacteria, which causes odor.
- Put on lots of moisturizer/lotion, and then slip on a pair of cotton socks. Your feet will have never felt so good
- Scrubbing your feet with a pumice stone regularly will help get rid of that hard skin more effectively. Accumulation of too much hard skin becomes very painful.
- Keep your toenails trimmed and clean. Use a nail brush if you have to. Toenails are hiding places for bacteria.
After the scrubbing exercise is complete, continue showing your feet some tender loving care by applying a nice moisturising lotion to them.
- Clipp your toenails regularly, never letting them grow too long, remove the cuticles and paint them. Nothing is more unsightly than toenails that are long, have chipped paint and are dirty-looking.
