Posted on October 26, 2007 in Latest News

  1. Wash your foot twice everyday paying close attention to the affected area.
  2. Soak your foot in warm water at least two to four times ever day.
  3. Avoid wearing tight fitted shoes or high heeled shoes. Wear shoes that are open from the front and let your toe breathe.
  4. Lift the corner of the toenail to prevent it from cutting into the skin.
  5. Take a tiny piece of cotton or paper and roll it into a thin wick. Place it between the nail and skin to keep the nail elevated and prevent its digging in to the skin.
  6. If you have pain, take in pain relievers like acetaminophen or ibuprofen.
  7. If the pain doesn’t improve after 72 hours, visit a doctor.
