The feet must be washed and cleansed regularly for all the dirt to be removed. This should be done from both, hygienic point of view and beauty care. Any well groomed person will have clean and neat feet and his appearance will reflect his personality. How does one go about washing one’s feet? Simple.
Follow the tips given below:
Washing Tips for Your Feet
- Keep the feet clean with a towel. Rub them well.
- For swollen feet, soak the feet in a cold stream for 5 to 10 minutes
- Pick a soft ground patch, lie down, prop you feet on a boulder or pack. Hold them in that position for 10 minutes so that the swelling comes down
- Get a foot massage done or rub them with your fingers
- Do not dry your feet out. Use a moisturizer daily on your feet. Dry skin can cause calluses and heel cracks. Do not apply cream between toes
- Wash the feet in warm water daily. Do not do it for a very long time as you may lose out on natural oils. Dry the feet thoroughly, particularly between the toes.
- Apply surgical spirits with cotton daily, especially between the toes. This will prevent fungal infections between the toes
- One must wear shoes that fit right and also clean socks
- Walk a lot and exercise the feet for good blood circulation
- Wash the feet daily
- Use lukewarm water, not too cold or too hot
- Dry the feet well after washing, especially between the toes
- Use a lubricant if the skin is dry
- Use lamb wool, not cotton to clean between the toes.
Make sure that your feet are always clean. Dirt should be removed with proper washing and toes should be kept clean. One should keep them supple and in ‘pink of health’.
